Auto-Tagging & Folders
Every RSS subscription can have a set of tags and a folder pre-assigned. When new articles arrive, these are applied automatically — no manual work needed.
Auto-Tagging
At subscription creation, click any tag badges in the Auto-tags row to select them. All selected tags will be inserted into post_tags for every new post from that feed. You can select as many tags as you like.
Changing tags later
The current settings UI does not edit a subscription's folder or tags after creation. To change them, delete and recreate the subscription. Existing posts keep their current assignments.
Auto-Folder
Pick a folder from the Auto-folder dropdown when adding a subscription. New posts are placed in that folder automatically. You can reassign posts to different folders any time from the dashboard.
Combining with Rule Engine
For more powerful automation, combine RSS Subscriptions with the Rule Engine (Settings → Rule Engine). For example:
- RSS feed auto-saves to the
Tech Newsfolder → Rule Engine adds a#to-readtag whenever a post lands in that folder - RSS feed imports article → Rule Engine checks if URL contains
ai→ adds#AItag automatically
Tip
The Rule Engine's Imported From Feed condition lets you write rules that only fire for posts from a specific RSS subscription.
