Remove Duplicates
Over time, especially after imports, you may end up with multiple copies of the same post. The current Remove Duplicates tool compares the posts already loaded into the local Settings-page cache; it is not a server-wide scan of every post in a large library.
Where to find it
Go to Settings → Data → Remove Duplicates.
How It Works
- Posts are grouped by URL (case-insensitive).
- The scan is limited to locally cached posts, capped at 500; an uncached duplicate is not included.
- Within each group, the oldest post is kept (lowest ID).
- All newer duplicates are permanently deleted — they do not go to Trash.
- This action cannot be undone, so review the results carefully before confirming.
How to Use

Open Settings → Data
Navigate to the Data tab in Settings.

Click Scan for Duplicates
Savebase analyses the locally cached posts client-side — no additional scan data leaves your browser.

Review the results
You'll see a count and a preview of duplicate URLs found.

Remove Duplicates
Click the Remove button to permanently delete all duplicates.
Permanent action
Duplicates are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered from Trash. Make sure to review the preview before confirming.
