Mobile apps are coming soon
The iOS and Android apps are not yet available in the public app stores. The behavior below describes the cache used by the current Savebase client; mobile release details will be confirmed at launch.
Savebase caches your recently saved posts so you can access your library without an internet connection.
How Offline Works
Savebase keeps a local cache of loaded posts, capped at 500 posts. Cached entries expire after seven days, and the library UI shows a banner when you're offline.
Limitations
- The full library is not downloaded automatically; only cached posts are available
- Images and videos require an internet connection to load
- Search across the full library requires a connection
- Editing an individual post's note, folders, tags, or reminder requires a connection
- Only operations that explicitly support offline queueing are sent when you reconnect
Offline support is cache-based and operation-specific. Do not assume every edit is saved locally; wait for confirmation in the app before closing it.
