Use cases · Watch later

Keep the videos you want to watch in one useful queue

A tutorial on YouTube, a travel reel on Instagram and a demonstration on TikTok can all be part of the same project. Savebase puts those saved references into one library, so watch later can become a focused queue instead of separate platform lists. Group videos by topic, note why each deserves your time and return to the spoken details with requested transcripts on Pro.

Put your saves to work

A practical watch later workflow

Browser extension ↗

Bring existing video saves together

Use the extension's supported native-save workflows while browsing. For YouTube, adding a video to a playlist saves it to Savebase and recreates the playlist as a folder. Use Grab to bring in older Watch Later or Liked Videos references, then confirm the imported sources. Include supported social reels in the same project collection when they explain related ideas.

Folders & tags ↗

Make the next viewing choice obvious

Create a Watch next folder or use topic folders with a watch-next tag. Add the question each video should answer in its note. After watching, record the useful lesson and change your manual tag to reviewed or revisit. Savebase does not automatically track playback completion, so choose labels that fit your own review habit.

Video transcripts ↗

Find the explanation after you watched it

Request Pro transcription for a supported saved video when its spoken content matters. Read the available transcript to revisit an explanation, or ask a connected assistant to retrieve relevant passages with source links. New saves are not automatically transcribed. Transcripts depend on fetchable audio and successful processing, and they do not substitute for visual demonstrations in the recording.

Optional AI workflow · Pro

A prompt to use with your saved references

Connect Savebase to ChatGPT or an MCP-compatible assistant, then adapt this prompt to your own folder and tags.

Find my saved photography videos tagged lighting. Retrieve available transcripts and notes, include each source URL, and compare the spoken advice. Identify demonstrations I should still watch because the visual details are missing from the transcript.

Request video transcripts before asking about spoken content. MCP access is read-only; your assistant can retrieve available material, while library edits happen in Savebase.

What to expect from this workflow

Savebase organizes video references and supported transcripts. It does not guarantee offline video downloads, synchronize watched status with every platform or recover unavailable video content.

Choose the plan for your collection

Free supports up to 100 social posts from any two supported platforms. Pro unlocks all 11 platforms, unlimited social posts, video transcripts and ChatGPT/MCP access.

Questions about watch later

Can I import my YouTube Watch Later list?

Yes. Use the Savebase browser extension's YouTube Grab controls while signed in to YouTube and Savebase. You can also bring in Liked Videos and supported playlists. Check the imported records before organizing your next viewing queue.

Are saved videos transcribed automatically?

No. Video transcripts require Pro and must be requested. Once a supported video has been processed successfully, its transcript can be read and retrieved through the AI connection. Missing audio or unavailable media can prevent transcription.
