Turn saved travel posts into a trip you can actually plan

You save an Instagram reel about a Tokyo food street, a blog guide to Kyoto and a video explaining train travel in Japan. Weeks later, those references should help you decide where to go. Savebase keeps them in one trip collection. Organize the shortlist with folders and tags, or use a connected AI assistant to draft a detailed plan from your saved references and available video transcripts.

Put your saves to work

A practical travel planning workflow

Folders & tags ↗

Build the Japan shortlist with folders and tags

Create a Japan trip folder with subfolders for Tokyo, Kyoto and transport. Tag references food, day-trip, hotel and must-visit. Save travel blogs as web links and supported social posts through the extension. Add the place name, nearest area and the reason you want to visit in a note. Review the folder to build each day's shortlist manually; AI is optional.

Video transcripts ↗

Keep the tip that was spoken in a reel

On Pro, request a transcript for a supported saved travel video, including an Instagram reel with available audio. The spoken recommendation may name a restaurant or explain a route that the caption omits. A transcript gives a connected assistant more content to retrieve and analyze than a title alone. Check place names against the recording; transcription can miss words and does not capture every visual detail.

ChatGPT plugin & MCP ↗

Draft an itinerary from the material you saved

Connect Savebase to ChatGPT or another MCP-compatible assistant on Pro. Ask it to find your Japan references by folder, tags and keywords, retrieve available notes and transcripts, and draft a day-by-day plan with source links. Give it dates, interests and your preferred pace. Ask it to flag missing travel times or opening hours, then use the draft to decide what still needs checking.

Optional AI workflow · Pro

A prompt to use with your saved references

Connect Savebase to ChatGPT or an MCP-compatible assistant, then adapt this prompt to your own folder and tags.

Use my saved Japan trip references, including notes and available Instagram reel and video transcripts. Draft a 7-day Tokyo and Kyoto itinerary at a relaxed pace, grouping nearby activities. Include the saved source URL for each recommendation. Flag missing addresses, travel times, opening hours and prices instead of inventing them. List the details I should verify before booking.

Request video transcripts before asking about spoken content. MCP access is read-only; your assistant can retrieve available material, while library edits happen in Savebase.

Questions about travel planning

Can I plan a trip from saved Instagram reels and blog posts?

Yes. Put supported saved reels and ordinary blog links into the same trip folder, then add city and activity tags. Use notes for place names and practical details. You can arrange the shortlist yourself or use a connected AI assistant on Pro to help draft a plan.

Can AI understand the spoken travel tip in my reel?

On Pro, request transcription for a supported saved video and wait for successful processing. The connected assistant can retrieve the available transcript alongside your notes and reference links. Speech in the transcript adds context, but visual-only details and missing audio still need your own notes.

Do I need AI to use Savebase for travel planning?

No. Folders, subfolders, manual tags and notes can organize a trip shortlist on their own. Use a folder per trip, city subfolders and tags for activities, then review saved sources to choose each day's plan. AI access is an optional Pro workflow.
