Key Concepts

Understanding these building blocks will help you get the most from Savebase.

Posts

A post is any piece of content you save — a tweet, a Reddit thread, an Instagram reel, a YouTube video. Each post stores its title, author, URL, media, and metadata.

Folders

Folders let you group posts by topic, project, or any structure you like. Folders can be nested to create a hierarchy. Move posts between folders freely.

Tags

Tags are flexible labels you attach to posts. Unlike folders, a post can have unlimited tags. You can create tags manually or let AI Auto-Tagging suggest them automatically AI Auto-Tagging: Pro.

Notes

A note is a private, freeform text annotation you can attach to any post. Use notes to record why you saved something, key takeaways, or action items. Notes are fully searchable and are exported to Notion and Google Sheets.

Reminders

A reminder lets you schedule a date and time to revisit a saved post. When the time comes, Savebase sends you an in-app notification and an email. Reminders are available on all plans.

Sources

A source is the platform a post came from: X, Instagram, Reddit, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Medium, Bluesky, Threads, or "web" for anything saved via the extension. You can filter your library by source in the sidebar.
