Remove Duplicates

Over time, especially after imports, you may end up with multiple copies of the same post (same URL, different entries). The Remove Duplicates tool scans your library and lets you clean them up in one click.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Data → Remove Duplicates.

How It Works

  • Posts are grouped by URL (case-insensitive).
  • Within each group, the oldest post is kept (lowest ID).
  • All newer duplicates are permanently deleted — they do not go to Trash.
  • This action cannot be undone, so review the results carefully before confirming.

How to Use

1

Open Settings → Data

Navigate to the Data tab in Settings.
2

Click Scan for Duplicates

Savebase will analyse your library client-side — no data leaves your browser.
3

Review the results

You'll see a count and a preview of duplicate URLs found.
4

Remove Duplicates

Click the Remove button to permanently delete all duplicates.

Permanent action

Duplicates are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered from Trash. Make sure to review the preview before confirming.
